Why dog sling sizing confuses everyone (and the one rule that fixes it)
Most carriers are sized to the dog. A sling is worn like a crossbody bag, so the fit that matters is around your torso. The Kangapooch pouch itself comfortably fits any dog under 10 lbs — Chihuahuas, Yorkies, toy Poodles, Maltese, Pomeranians, and small mixes. What changes between sizes is only the strap length.

How do I measure my chest correctly?
Stand relaxed and wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, just under your armpits, over light clothing. Keep the tape parallel to the floor, snug but not tight. No tape measure? Lay a well-fitting shirt flat, measure armpit to armpit, and double it.
What if I'm between sizes?
Size up. The strap sits best with a little room, and a slightly roomier sling is easier to load your dog into. The same rule applies if you have a larger bust or plan to wear the sling over a winter coat.
Sharing one sling between two people?
Size to the larger-framed person. The smaller person simply wears it a touch lower — still safe, still comfortable. Households that trade off daily usually end up happiest with one sling each.
What about my dog's size?
